This being the 120th year of the foundation of Real Madrid CF, Adidas released a limited edition fourth kit to commemorate the event. This year is also the 20th year of the Y-3 brand, a collaboration between Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto. Yohji Yamamoto is a Japanese designer known for his avant-garde designs and striking silhouettes. To celebrate the two anniversaries, Adidas had its Y-3 brand create the Real Madrid CF fourth kit, which is black for the players and pink for the goalkeepers. Yohji Yamamoto also designed a hand-drawn brush stroke font for the Real Madrid 120th anniversary kit. The font is colored white on the player's jersey and black on the goalkeeper's jersey.
